My current WIP book one complete in edit mode and book two in process of being written Is a story of two races one human and the other is werewolf. My werewolves do not fit in the normal mode so I realy don't see it as paranormal since it is also set in present day. The whole story is a build up to a coming war between the two races.
Like I said not the normal werewolf book.
Any ideas?

Sounds like a coin-flip between Horror or Sci-fi/Fantasy depending on content.

That is what I thought but it really does not fit fully inside either genre's guide lines.
Guess I need to make a new genre, horror/paranormal/fantasy.

Not necessary. Just decide which of those three genres you like more. Sometimes a book can be a mixture of two or more genres, but the author always position it in one that dominates.

contemporary/urban fantasy, possibly horror, but it sounds more like the former.

I'd think urban fantasy?
