Long poems

Are long narrrative-type poems (and by that I mean really long poems, like 1000 lines or more) still being considered somewhere, or do poetry editors just want the short stuff (like 20 lines or less).

I think longer work still works for some fantasy and erotica markets -- less so in literary circles unless you are already well known.
