FYI it is an entry fee ($15) based competition. There are a lot of them out there.

I've been participating in the Writer's Weekly 24-hour short story contests. The entry fee is $5 and the contest is held quarterly. On the day of the contest, they email you the topic and word count limit, and you have 24 hours to turn in your story. I find it an entertaining exercise that gives my creativity muscles a workout -- more for fun than anything. There are 3 cash prizes. www.writersweekly.com (http://www.writersweekly.com).
