a cool story idea popped into my head, that being people making 'forbidden' and outlawed literature in braille to fool the authorities. or maybe not so cool....

It's been done, albeit not in braille. The problem with braille is that it takes forever to write anything, and the paper has to be fairly thick. A Braill Harlequin romance is around three or four inches thick.

The article doesn't actually say the books themselves are in braille. Only that they are a complete set of the Harry Potter books signed and donated by Rowling, and the proceeds from the auction will go toward producing more books in braille.

I like that the vast majority of autographs J.K. Rowling does are for charities. Especially since they fetch such a steep price. I really like that.
