I have read a hundred pages or so of it. Haven't read it since a couple of months back...

I've got it on my to do list right after Gravity's Rainbow.

I read it right after it came out. It's a little arduous in parts, but DEFINITELY worth the hours...and hours...and hours it takes to read. I've actually read it three times now. It's my favourite thing DFW has written yet, by far.

I checked it out of the library, but I'm having trouble getting into it. I'm going to keep trying to finish it...I've heard good things about it.

Not a fan. Really, it is hard to get into and really, I just don't care for what he has to say. Long and relatively boring to me.
I had a friend who loved it though. . . but he was also a tennis player from Champagne, Illinoise.
Coincedence? I think not.:tongue

I read the whole thing shortly after it was published. Footnotes and all.
I don't think I'd have patience today to try to repeat the feat.

To be fair, he was still alive when we all posted.
It is unfortunate and he will be missed.
