I am pretty new to AW, but I figure there is no better way to get adjusted than to lay it all out on the table right away. Please keep in mind, I have no idea how to do almost anything on blogger, except input words, so any help, along with constructive criticism would be much appreciated. Thanks guys and happy critiquing!

Hi Chonny
I'm very new to blogging myself, having only started one last week, so I'm not sure if I can offer any helpful comments. Anyway, these are my impressions:
The first thing I noticed was that it was too hard to read, with the black text on the pink/purple background. Nice colour, but I had to select the text I wanted to read and highlight it so that I could see it clearly (then again, my eyes are very bad!).
I love your title and the idea behind your blog. I love the idea of seeing special things in everyday life. Great idea.
I think your writing is great too. Quite entertaining - I enjoyed the piece about the elderly couple; that was very sweet.
Hope this helps!

Welcome to the cooler, Chonnychonny! :)
I use FireFox. You'll find that things display differently in different browsers, which is why I mention this.
I agree with the comment about difficult to read - if you have a shade of pink about halfway between this one and white, it would be much easier to read.
I really like this:
Musings from a girl who believes if you pay close enough attention, every part of being alive is screenworthy.
But I'm wondering if it would be stronger if it was worded something like this:
If you pay close enough attention, every part of being alive is screenworthy. I think it has more punch that way.
This Cinematic Moment is a Winter Comedy.
[FYI: This line will be a new addition to every new entry in keeping with the new url/title/theme. Different lesson, feeling, musing...and the movie category it represents. I do what I want (haha), but I hope it gives us some continuity around this blog.]This is cool. :) I like the premise behind your blog - it's very very cool. :)
This Cinematic Moment is a documentary.I'm wondering if this would have more punch if it was something like Cinematic Moment: Documentary
As with all things, take what works for you and discard the rest. Happy blogging! :)

I love it! In fact, I'm going to get a coffee and read through your archives as I really like your writing style.
I had trouble with the pink background too: it's a bit dark to use black text with, and on my laptop it's even harder to read (then again, I have bad eyesight, which may be why.) If you use a lighter shade of pink it would be fab.
I'm also with quidscribis on the 'Musings' bit. It sounds much better the new way - mainly because 'Musings/Ramblings/Rantings/Thoughts of...' is very common in personal blogs, to the point of overuse. I'd definitely alter it as this makes it a little different.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I have changed the background to a more Pepto Bismol shade of pink. I figure it does double duty when my writing makes you nauseous...haha. I also shook the color scheme up a bit. Does it make it a bit easier on the eyes?
Quid, great suggestions! I changed the description. I originally tried doing the colon thing with the Cinematic Moment of the day description, but do you think that people will understand the premise? It could definitely use some more punch and you were very helpful.
Thank you for the encouragement and kind words guys. I know everyone is busy and I appreciate taking your time out to lend a hand!

Perhaps if you add the explanation in the about section which is visible on every page? But honestly, even if you didn't, I don't think it should take too long for most people to figure out the correlation. Also, you can make a post about the theme behind your blog every now and then for those who are slow. :) Besides, with the title of your blog "Life of Cinematic Moments", it's gotta be obvious, ya know? :)
Oh! Another suggestion! You could also add still shots of appropriate movie scenes to occasional blog entries to further reinforce the movie moments idea. Hey, that's a great idea! So glad I thought of it! :D
The pink background is much much easier on the eyes now. The text isn't bad - it's fairly dark, but you might want to experiment with making it a tad darker to see if it's any better.
