So I know since most of us here in this subforum are either achieved or attempting to achieve screenwriters, and we should all be writing. But I've read a few posts on here that deal with the structures of existing screenplays. I thought it would be interested if, every week or so, we all dissected a film we've all seen and analyze it's structure. For example, we could take the film and each give our opinions on where the 1. inciting incident 2. first turning point 3. midpoint 4. big defeat 5. payoff/finale are and other structure related arguments. Anyway, just throwing it out there.

Sure, it's a reasonable idea, let's see how many warm bodies you get. :)

Tho' not surprisingly it's been suggested before, see previous threads:

Launch a "Poll." And then in the poll have at least two dozen very very famous movies. Have everyone vote on which films they'd like to do. The use that roster for your specimen films each week.
