Hi. My name is Chris Lane and I am making a short 10 minute documentary about trying to get a film off of the ground and in to production in the UK. If any of you are in the UK have tried to pitch a film and were unsuccessfull a few times and are interested in being in a documentary talking about how hard it is to get a film off of the ground please contact me.

wow this sounds SO interesting! I bet there are tons of people in LA who could speak to this subject! I have a great source for you: one of my business partners (and Absolute Write member) is Andrew Zinnes, co-author of The Guerilla Film Maker's handbook. If you like, email me at Julie@thescriptdepartment.com and I can connect you to Andrew and/or this seems like a good announcement for my blog, The Rouge Wave. Let me know if I can help.

Hi, thanks for the interest. I'm really sorry and really stupid as I forgot to mention I'm based in the UK. I really should have stated that. I'm sorry again.

Let me see if I can clarify: (correct me if I'm wrong)
This is about attempting to make films in the UK. Not LA.

yes it is, though now im having doubts whether or not this site is the best place for finding people in the UK. I'm stll gong to stay on here though as I do write scripts myself and this site is awesome for finding help and advide.
But the request still stands; If you are a script writer in the UK who has had trouble getting the film off of the ground and would like to talk about it in a documentary. Reply on here or be my email.

There are most definitely some UK people on this site. Don't know the exact numbers though. People on here seem to be from all over.
