Simultaneous submissions

I am wondering how I can tell if a publication allows simultaneous submissions. Sometimes their submission guidelines will tell you, but when they don't, is it okay to simultaneously submit? Thanks.

Most markets are pretty clear on it, but if they don't specify, it's fine to email them and ask them

If you are going to take a punt and send a sim-sub, be very very clear about that in your cover letter.
