I get a freebie this weekend, Mistress. My FIL passed yesterday. It's been a long couple of days and there's a lot of stuff to do. I'll set a new goal early next week and, if I slack off, promise to bare my back like a good victim.

Thank you, everyone. First time writing up an obituary--but worth taking one task off the DH's shoulders.

The sight of the respirator PUFFING this frail old man's chest up, down, up, down in a completely unnatural way creeped all of us out. The kids cried on my shoulder--even the big, tough 16-year-old. But we're making it through.

This is why I write horror that has zero connection to RL.

I'm very sorry, lilly. My condolences to you and your family.

As for the writing, my writing spurt seems to have been for naught. I have done little besides edit what I have already written, but it's necessary for me to clarify what I'm trying to say before I move forward. *sigh*

I still hope to make 2500 new words by the end of the weekend, though. I can do it, if I work hard.

As for my writing. I have my novel (whip) in front of me and have a need to add pages. This week! I will get those pesky kids out of danger yet or so help me.
