I think I could do completely without teeth now. Everything in the house has been reduced to mush.

But it's fun! (7 cup Kitchenaid - very nice indeed. And I have already done cookie dough and ham salad.)

What else can I make with it - it has a chopper blade and a slicer blade and today I'm going to try to slice radishes in it. (I have only one working hand, so anything that helps me cut stuff in the kitchen is a terrific help when I cook, which is every day)

Got any food processor recipes you like? The ham salad was great - I cooked a ham for dinner, then trimmed the leftovers & pulsed them with mayonnaise and sweet pickle relish. Lovely!

Roasted eggplant dip: roast peeled, cubed eggolant, red peppers, onions, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper until soft and browned. Whizz in the food processor with a healthy dollop of tomato paste. Great with pita chips.

Roasted eggplant dip does sound yummy.

I take my pita chips and brush them with a little evoo and melt butter, drizzle on some coarse salt, cut in quarthers or 6th's, then toast them in a fast oven (440 degrees) for ten miniutes or so.

Nice for dipping or to serve with curry.

*don't forget the fresh chopped cilantro for a curry garni

Roasted butternut squash puree
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slice butternut squash lengthwise in half. Place pulp side up, on cookie sheet and roast until lightly brown and fork tender. (It depends how large your squash are, mine took about an hour).
Cool slightly, then scoop out the flesh from the squash and put into food processor.
Blend on high. As you are blending, add a few tablespoons of chicken stock (it substitutes for butter and keeps this recipe low in fat and heart healthy).
Blend until smooth.

My family and guests loved this. I made it for New Years eve dinner and served five spice roasted game hens with a plum wine reduction.

My daughter commented that it tasted like pumpkin pie - and it did - it was sweet and creamy!
Enjoy!
