We teens are more mature than the adults... proven once again.![]()
EXACTLY!
I don't so how people don't get that, lol.
Now I really am gone.
We teens are more mature than the adults... proven once again.![]()
I thought you meant AGED 7 for a moment there. Whew.
Did you know that a clone is (scientifically speaking) no different from a natural identical twin?
Are we growing up or just going down?
It's just a matter of time until we're all found out
Take our tears, put them on ice
Cause I swear I'd burn this city down to show you the light
We're the therapists pumping through your speakers
Delivering just what you need
We're well read and poised
We're the best boys
We're the chemists who've found the formula
To make your heart swell and burst
No matter what they say, don't believe a word
Cause I'll keep singing this lie if you'll keep believing it
I'll keep singing this lie
I'll keep singing this lie
Are we growing up or just going down?
It's just a matter of time until we're all found out
Take our tears, put them on ice
Cause I swear I'd burn this city down to show you the light
We travel like gypsies
Only with worse luck and far less gold
We're the kids you used to love
But then we grew old
We're the lifers here till the bitter end
Condemned from the start
Ashamed of the way
The songs and the words own the beating of our hearts
Cause I'll keep singing this lie
I'll keep singing this lie
Are we growing up or just going down?
It's just a matter of time until we're all found out
take our tears, put them on ice
Cause I swear I'd burn this city down to show you the light
There's a drug in the thermostat to warm the room up
And there's another around to help us bend your trust
I've got a sunset in my veins
And I need to take a pill to make this town feel okay
The best part of "Believe" is the "Lie",
I hope you sing along and you steal a line
I need to keep you like this in my mind
So give in or just give up
[x2]
Are we growing up or just going down?
Are we growing up or just going down?
It's just a matter of time until we're all found out
Take our tears, put them on ice
Cause I swear I'd burn this city down to show you the light
I disagree. An identical twin is conceived naturally at the same time as it's twin from one egg that splits or two eggs that were released at the same time. A clone does not happen naturally and is no more than a copy of the original.
They say clones don't live as long too and they aren't as healthy.
Okay, my goal? 100 posts here a day. Realistic, no. Am I going to try damn hard to make it happen, though!? Probably also no.
Tilt, my song that envelops the feeling and message of my entire book, even the entire series (the Murder Pet series, that is) is:
Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year by Fall Out Boy.
You people need to understand how fully perfect this song is for representing my book.
It is just so . . . perfect. Meaningful. Perfect again. Here are the lyrics, though if you haven't read MP you might not appreciate how PERFECT it is. Particularly the bolded parts.
Why, yes, I am taking up excessive post-room in order to progress the thread further. *shifty look* don't tell anyone!
(Takes a deep breath).
You can disagree about whether or not we should have clones, HR, but I feel obligated to straighten out the science here. Have you seen the pictures of cloned puppies? Often they don’t look exactly like the original. That’s because genes don’t determine everything about us. We also have epigentics (whether or not a certain gene is turned on or off) and environmental factors like what our mother’s womb is like and how much pollution is in the air when we are conceived that contribute just as much. That’s why a clone could never be an exact copy of the original. Identical twins are identical because they have the same DNA. A clone is a new organism with the same DNA as the original. The only difference is the timing in when they are born.
The reason clones don’t live as long as non-clones is because they haven’t perfected the cloning and incubation techniques yet (it’s hypothesized – it could also have something to do with shortened telomeres, but there’s no evidence for that). Essentially, the DNA gets damaged in transit. As they improve cloning techniques, the average lifespan and health of clones will most likely increase.
Hmm interestingI just want to say one more thing because I always have to say this during a cloning debate. If the clones aren't exact clones of the original, then what is the point? There are millions of unwanted animals all over the world that need homes and scientists are running around creating more just because they can?
Okay, that's all I wanted to say![]()
I personally support stem cell research. If only because my dad has diabetes and it could cure him.
But, I am scared we're going to create zombies or something like it lol.
