Sorry, June. That's horrible! So one of your students complained??? Ugh... I can't believe they stuck you with 22 guys in a last period class. That's just s***y oversight, IMO.

Haha, yeah....30 kids is never fun, but with 22 of them guys....not good!
Course, it's always good when you take the names to an administrator, and they're like, "Oh geez!" and they proceed to rattle off a list of infractions they done cause they've been written up in tons of other classes.

I'm not sure who complained...she didn't say....sighs.

Sorry your Monday has gone downhill though. Mine's actually been pretty good -- I got *some* re-writing/editing done, but more importantly, figured out the all important first chapter. Mmmmm....that's a nice feeling.

That's good that you're getting some work done...YEAH for first chapters!! I was wondering about beta reading when I gotta your message about the first chapter, and trust me, I've been there and done that!! LOL

I've had so many sick students....7 outta first period alone today. I'm thinking of disinfecting all my desks before I leave this afternoon.

That's a good idea.

A lot of people have been sick here too, not even necessarily Swine Flu, though everyone talks about that...just sick. I've started running a fever, but I'm also sleeping like crazy, eating well, and washing up obsessively. I don't want to wind up sick in bed w/ 2 sick kids to look after.

soooo... on Thanksgiving weekend (CDN Thanksgiving so the weekend before last) We were playing Rockband Beatles and it occurred to me for the first time (even though I'd heard the song a million times before) that Paperback Writer is basically an example of a horrible query letter.

Am I the only idiot who never noticed before?

Did anyone else buy the New Moon soundtrack yet? Is anyone else kind of disappointed? (I'd trade good soundtrack for good movie, though-- fingers crossed.)

Kate: I didn't really like the New Moon soundtrack as much as I thought I would. I only like three songs: Meet Me at the Equinox(?) by Death Cab for Cutie, that one song by Muse and Satellite Heart.

I love The Killers and I was hoping their song would be good, but it was...very disappointing.

Me and my friends (I think there is 15 of us) have booked tickets for New Moon. Its 14 girls and 1 guy (the one in my Avatar) We are hoping there is going to be a premiere here, so we can go. Even though I got completely squashed during the HP premiere- but my friend got a photo with Rupert and she loves him so it was all worth while.

Even the Thom Yorke was a let down, and I am certifiably obsessed with everything he does.

How cool! He is one of those actors that seems like a genuinely nice guy.
