Thats the only thing they did good for me was the cover, but then again i got someone named stacey that did mine, she put a hot couple on thefront, since its for lovers. so i cant say anything bad about that I wish she would have did more good ones.

The chance that Stacey worked at PA more than a few months are probably slim. PA has a high employee turnover rate last I knew, but who would want to work for them after finding out PA isn't a "traditional" publisher? Employees have also been fired when its time for a pay raise, or if they don't meet their quota's.

At least she did one good cover or a few anyway, maybe that's what they got mad about, because she didn't use the same cover over and over again. I know my book would be selling could someone know about it online instead of just running across it. do you have a cover of your book yet Tlblack?

Hey Queen, wonder if you can find the image she speaks of.

I was up late and reading some old posts, one caught my eye it was a discussion debating if the artist read the material before they designed a cover. My honest opinion on this is they would never have time to read so many books, but, I do think they draw their ideas from the titles.

I found my cover amazing. A picture of a stone angel praying with incredible clouds above the angel.

The background and orientation is different, but I'm guessing the "cover artist" may actually have done something in PhotoShop there.

Nowhere. Now here.
I would say that Photoshop's likely. It looks like they used different clouds from the ones in the stock image, and used a gradient to gradually bump up the magenta and cyan in the upper portion of the image.

must be using really cheap inexperienced labor in the cover department now.

They always have, Wanda. Lots of college kids who need a job. I know you've stated several times how much you like your cover, so consider yourself lucky. Most of them are just recycled images.

I bet a lot of those kids could actually do some good work given the time and encouragement.

PA really should keep a list of the stock numbers for those images so they will quit repeating them over and over, and over, and over...

Whoa, that was identical, didnt even change colors at all, or move image forward or backwards. Think they ae getting cheaper since their move. no effort at all. What will those two people think when they see their covers on Pa and they have the same covers. What will any of them say when they find that out. MAYBE i should look through all their books and make sure that my book only has that cover. If i find aanother one of my book can someone show me how to paste it to here, so everyone can see.

Will have to do that tomorrow, because I am thinking if i do find the same cover then it might be enough to make them give me my rights back.

Wanda, unless your PA contract is extraordinarily unusual, there is no contractual obligation on PA's part to provide your book with a *unique* cover.

That's the truth, but you'd think they would at least try and make them different since they call that department, "cover design."

No, it won't.
Everyone already knows that PA uses stock covers over and over again.
One more example isn't going to make any difference.

In other words, they aren't doing anything illegal and they are giving authors what they stated in their contract -- which is whatever they want to give them.

So don't waste your time barking up the wrong tree.

Forget PA, write another book. Quit kicking a dead horse.

I've run out of cliches...

just thought that would be a good way to get out of it, guess I got a dead book with a hotcover that people should see but will not, that i loved writing with my bestfriend. at least we both enjoyed writing it together. hope he has it hidden from his new wife. he was not married at the time, and didnt even know her until after it was published. but we enjoyed it anyway.

I looked or awhile, but couldnt find anyhing exact. I found something similar as far as the sky part, but the same guy and girl no. I was wondering why do they have mine in "fiction". and not in romance. My eyes got tired of looking for it, and said the heck with it. Oh my book is called seductive stories for lovers". I fgure their book isnt selling no more than mine. Why do they now say that they do not reject no one!!!!!!!! on their contact us site.
