Brandon Sanderson has magic based on the elements in his Mistborn series. Tin, copper, bronze, iron, gold, etc.
What would be some good elements to add to the basic four?

How about a system based on chakras? You'd have the four traditional elements, plus sound/harmony (throat chakra) light (eye chakra) and psyche/thought/existence (third eye/mind chakra). In a system I'm developing, I have those higher three elements paired to opposing ones: harmony/chaos, light/dark, life/death. (Feel free to borrow and adapt, I'm not selfish
