Yeah, check it out. I don't usually recommend Utena though. But it was one of the inspirations for one of my novels, so I like it for that reason.

Revolutionary Girl Utena is somewhat character-driven sometimes, has nice fights, episode 33 is really good, and at least you can't complain at the music.

I love Elfen Lied too, but I find it a bit slow, so I have never rewatched the entire series, only a few episodes here and there.

I can understand that people can get tired of that. It also takes up a lot of time that could be used for plot. But I like the scene and music anyway. There are other things though that I find irritating, and thus I don't usually dare to recommend the series.

Hm, can't really imagine i stumped you guys with that screenshot, so i'll imagine it was because of the day and no-one had time to check. ;)

And for a little hint: You can guess the title from this image even if you didn't watch the anime. (Or knew it existed at all)

OH! Is that Devil May Cry? The woman in that screencap looks like Lady.

Edit: The most recent screencap, that is. And the former looks a bit like Trish in weird lighting..

Right on both counts. I had to play in extreme slow speed to get just the right frame for that first screenshot. Well, it's apparent why the lighting is so blue-ish. ;)

Woohoo! I kept puzzling over your hint, wondering how I could possibly know the anime if I didn't even know it existed. Then I noticed the heterochromia in Lady's eyes and it all clicked. The Devil May Cry series is one of my favorite video games. Oh, let's see, I need to get trickier about my screencap this time around.
