Things have finally calmed down a bit family-wise. They've sped up a gazillion life-wise, but that's no excuse to fall behind writing! :) So, I'm back with a daily word count goal. Today, I'm planning on doing 2 character studies, a rough outline of the rest of the novel, and at least 1,000 words. From here on out, my goal is to write 500 words a day minimum, with 1,000 being the goal. And I can write those on my MG, my YA, or my Non-Fiction. Doesn't matter, as long as I'm getting words down on one of my personal projects, and not letting work writing eat my soul.

Woohoo! :D Making new tickers now!

Welcome to the new faces!

Finish the Damn Book Sunday Blogathon sounds like fun... Now all I need is a blog. (Hmmmm, another good procrastination activity!)

I hit a wall this week. I just haven't been motivated at all. My graphics card packed up but considering that was on the desktop adn I write on my laptop... no excuse.

I suspect I thought too much about the scene so I feel like its written.
Anyway this long winded post is really to say I've written 500 words in 3 days, woeful given my daily minimum of 1000 words a day.

Grats to those of you maintaining goals. I must kick my butt into gear again!

Started: 27400
Finished: 28268
Words: 868

Livasa don't be too hard on yourself - you still got words down on paper and that's something. sometimes you'll have off times, but important thing is you keep going :)

I actually did a post on this on my blog, aptly named 'the arse is firmly back in the chair' lol. Nothing of note but I'm kind of proud of that title lol!!

Well done Monkey on the Angel's Apprentice - you're flying it!

Coming right along! And I'm thinking of turning "Tree" into a short and restarting a novel that I had shelved for a while. Ideas, they are a'flowin'!

Finally I've wrote some damn words in my damn novel lol
Started at 41,564 ended at 41,912 so 308 words. It's not really what I was hoping to accomplish but it's better then nothing.
I hope this means I've put the train back on it's tracks and I've hurdled the brick wall that has been staring me down for the last week and a half.

Tomorrow's goal. 500 words.

I missed yesterday. I have all sorts of excuses; I was sick, I wasn't home, I had to coach a soccer game, I sat in on the karate class I usually teach, I had to sit at my husband's job for hours while he did data entry.

But enough excuses! Today I wrote 4,000 words to make up for what I missed.

For yesturday,
Start 41,912
So I ended up writing about 5 pages long hand lol so I have no idea how many words it is. But at least it's something.
Today, type out those long hand pages and add 500 words to it.

I know, right? I just Can't. Stress this. Enough! As long as you've got even 10 words done, 10, you know you are going to finish your book one day, that's for sure. Sad thing is when you don't write anything. 0 words a day, when you're sick or when you just can't.

No words yesterday. My daughter was injured and I spent the day utterly losing my mind (while trying desperately to smile and remain calm) at the emergency room. :(

I have a few-months-old, unworked and unhandled baby mule that I insist that the kids stay away from. Guess who snuck out the back door and broke momma's rule? Hint: the same little girl who now has three stitches above her beautiful little eye.

Thanks. I appreciate it.

I'm feeling kind of traumatized--I'm definitely not "with it" enough to write. But I can transcribe, with my daughter sitting next to me, and I don't want to let my friend down.

Okay, okay, I am doing my best to finish my latest. I am ONE chapter away from completion except I don't know how I want to end it. Every time I write something, I don't like it and scrap it. The basic story is done. I just have to wrap it up in a pretty little bow except the bow keeps getting tangled. Grr...

Monkey, healing and happy thoughts your way. Take some time for yourself to decompress, even if it's only a few minutes outside or an extra long shower. ::hug::

I've written 1313 words in my YA novel. Woot!

My baby's fine. Most of the redness and puffiness that she had yesterday is gone, and she's very cheerful this morning. When she woke up, she called for me, and I came--only to discover that she was hiding. When I found her, she laughed and laughed and then started taunting me, "You can't tickle me, I too faa-ast!"

I love my babies. :)

After that, (and breakfast, and setting her up with a Scooby Do movie) I jumped into catching up on An Angel's Apprenticeship. I'm now at 24k, which, added to yesterday's total, puts me back at an average of 2,000 words per day. If I keep that up, I could be done in about five days! Then I just have to figure out Lulu and get this sucker out there. :)

For now, I have to call the vet. One of my horses--my son's--is looking poor, and I had the vet out yesterday to look at her. She did some blood work, and was supposed to call me back, but never did, despite repeated pokes on my part. I so hope the horse is going to be all right...

ETA: Bloodwork came back fine. We may be looking at a pregnancy; that would explain why she's eating like crazy and not gaining weight...

Daughter's looking better, the horse is looking worse.

I'm up to 26k on "An Angel's Apprenticeship" and am now 550 words into "The Girl in the Gorilla Suit".

Ebennet68--how's it going? Do you have big news for us yet?
