Morning!

Books for a buck!!?! SWEET! Bad that the store's closing, but $1 books make it a little bitter sweet.

Everybody called off today but me. Yay. :tongue

The ice is back. Snowpocalypse take 2.

Oh man, you guys have bad weather again? We're in the 50's....supposed to be nice weather this week. But I do know we had snow the beginning of March last year, and then the big Blizzard of 93 was in March. So, who knows....

Eek, just looked and next week, the lows are back in the 30's.

Yes, it was awesome at Borders....got the Simone Eckl3es books, some Meg Cab0t....Prom & Prejudic3...N3ed & Captivate, Bright Y0ung Things, a S@ra Z@rr book....gah, I need to actually write them all down, lol.

I'll be happy if I can get 50% off for some of the newest books at the one closing down the road from me.

I'm back on the Special K diet for the next couple weeks. To kick it off, I just ate a chocolate cookie.

This is why there needs to be a way to loan friends books on Kindle!

Morning!

I have a question...

If I got a full request and the agent (well actually intern) had already read my query in QLH and told me it just needed minor tweaks, I just need a cover letter reminding her of the plot right when I submit it to her? And can it just be a one-liner about my book??

Hmm, I might just go ahead and send the entire query again....like with a line about her seeing it on AW. They get so many queries....I know it happened recently and all.

I didn't realize it was finished....or were you just revising it?

Tell me about it....I am the epic of suck at getting to the post office! Especially being so far away by the time I get home and all....and yeah, there's Saturdays, but I'm just suck all around, lol.

I'm not even done with the first draft! I just posted the query because I wanted to make sure I was on the right track with the stakes, motivation, conflict and whatnot. And she requested! lol She said she doesn't mind waiting after I PMed her about it.

ETA: I forgot to mention that I'm SO jealous you got so many books, Krista! I might have to stop at the one Borders that's closing... Hopefully there's still books!

Ah, okay, I got ya. Well, I'd say def include the query if you're not sending right away. Most have really good memories, but in case they don't it'll be handy.

And yes, you MUST check out your Borders that's closing, lol. Like I said, I went Saturday night(or maybe I did this on Twitter, lol) to the one that's 20 minutes from me like at 9pm...it was hopping, but only 20%. I wanted Acr0ss the Universe, and it was 17.99 Borders price....I was like, "no thanks".

But the Borders that was closing today(I went yesterday) told me it depended on how long they'd been closing with the deals. So keep checking back and stuff.

I will finish it! Working on it right now actually

I just had an issue that I asked about in TWFT and it's gotten cleared up, so now I can continue writing again! Although I'm meant to do hw this morning lol

Yeah, trying to juggle real life with writing isn't easy. I haven't done such a great job of that lately.

Glad you got the issue cleared up and can move forward again!

I know what you mean about the juggling.

Last year, my freshman year, I'd avoid hw cuz it stressed me out, so I'd do a bunch of writing. I ended up getting more C's than A's and even failing a class. I know better this year. I especially need good grades to bump up my GPA to at least a 2.7 (2.5 right now) so I can keep my scholarship. DePaul is SO expensive.

Rambling now when I should be writing haha.

Also, I had to hop back on - does anyone know anything about physical abuse? Like if there was anything the police could do if there was proof? The abusive boyfriend is 17 and the girl is 16.

I got a B- on my psych statistics midterm. I thought I'd at least get a mid-high B!
