Ok so this is a lot more than one line, but I'm pretty happy with this paragraph and wanted to share it. Maybe there should be a paragraph of the day thread too! :D

It's an action scene for me today:

Bob clicked the safety. “I hope you find when you leave this world that the only afterlife left for cowards and liars like you is a very hot place. Two seconds till you find out. Any last words?”
Harley opened the door, stepped over the threshold. “I’m sorry I hurt you.”
Bob’s finger tested the trigger, felt the weight behind it, got ready to squeeze. “Sorry isn’t enough.”

This looks like fun. Can I join in? :D 2 of my characters are out to solve a mystery in this scene:

“Get serious, Beth. There is no plot to thicken!” Serena laughed. "Johnny would be 12 years older than my aunt today, at least.”
“And where is he today?”
“I don’t know. Married, with 3 kids? Or he’s a hefty chain-smoking biker playing pool in a bar in Virginia, longing for the days when he was young and cool? Or both? How would we know? Grandma said he might have moved away.”
“He moved away so that he wouldn’t have to explain to two teenaged girls from the future, why his picture isn’t in this yearbook,” Beth said.
