Rum and Diet Coke, please, or anything fruity with strong rum and liqueurs in it. Especially if it's got umbrellas and bits of fruit in. I'm an unembarrassed tropical drinker. Booze should taste like a good dessert and get me high.

Suzanne- Take it easy on the noob... subbing? I can handle being burned. I have done my homework and am pretty sure form rejections mean they are bored with my query, or just don't like it. So a few re-writes later I am feeling much better about it. I am ready for a whole new batch of rejections and maybe some insight to my issues.

Okay I noted the "no orange juice" rule but I'm going to rebel and smuggle some in..yes....I'm smuggling orange juice into a pub. I live on the EDGE.

to all the new folk.I went to Teopia this moning and bought a whole bunch of new tea flavours. I'm having trouble deciding which to make a pot of first: almond biscotti, chocolate chai or honey vanilla.

Good-day everyone! I had a wonderful morning browsing through the forums. This is a very informative and supportive group which I would feel honored to share a space at the cooler. I just sent out my first batch of queries last week and I am celebrating my very first rejection ever which came today!

I am...interesting today. And by that I mean I'm quitting smoking (again...but I'm determined to make it stick this time) and today sucks big time and I'm ready to rip the heads off of anyone who comes near me and I'm shaky and I could cry at any given moment or maybe I scream or laugh manically and I ruined dinner so that didn't help and my poor children! My poor, poor children, who have no choice but to put up with a half-crazed mother.

I was barely pregnant when I quit smoking, so I can sympathize. Not-smoking hormones combines with pregnancy hormones made me a bit of a pariah for a couple of days.

It really will, Spiral. I'm a year and four mos without cigarettes and I don't miss it at all. It helps that none of my friends and family smoke. But, all of my neighbors do. I see them outside on their front porches in the evenings and I'm not at all tempted to join them.
This may not be what you are wanting to hear, but the urge for a cigarette is still there when I wake up, and I have been holding back the urge to snap at people. I'm not counting the weeks anymore, nor trying to rationalize the need for something so bad for me.
And yeah, I have had a few sneaky cigarettes. They don't count if you feel bad about them afterwards...
