Hi Ted. Welcome to day offville
Well that sounds completely stupid! Why arent they allowed to leave the school? My mom used to sit down with me after every failed or close to failed test and go over what the right answers were so I knew the material. That way she also knew what i was having trouble with (and that was pretty much everything as a kid. All makes sense now)
Yes, that's exactly what I did to both my kids in the previous 3 school systems.
I actually KNEW what they learned that day.
Whether or not I understood it, aka: Math, was a different story. Which means: Contact teacher, blahzie yadda, bing bang boom, kid on same page, back to good grades.
That seems like a really messed up system. How are parents updated on there kids progress if they aren't bring back tests to show them? Have to wait till its too late and they get the report card?!
Yes.
As for the grade... No hasnt been fixed yet. Still have to get ahold of the professor.
Sadly, though my Adviser gets a report saying i got an F. He already hates me, so i'm half expecting him to show up after my class today to pull me aside for a "meeting" in which he will say in sophisticated words "Hahahahah i told you, you would fail another course. What are you going to do now dumbass!? Looks like i can finally kick you out of school!" (I'm also not joking, this has happened before.)
Oh these are my favs!
Review all the possible scenarios of this meeting.
Take w/you all course material supporting your cause and inform another teacher, who's class you up to date in, to aid you w/good student references.
Be aware of which course of action you will take if this meeting does not go well and inform the advisor of the premeditated actions you'll take - in accordance w/school policy - the expected outcome, and how stupid he'll look when you HAHAAA, Win!
Welcome to mom's 'driving a car in the fog pain train'.
Ooo, i got an email from one of my son's teachers.
I was expecting the cops at my door, this is better.
