I just looked back at what I've just written and for like 3 paragraphs I've written the MC's name with the wrong spelling. That's just... wow. I am an idiot sometimes!
Gosh, this conversation makes me feel so OOOOOLLLLDDD! And parochial. My first encounter with fanfic was Spock/Kirk, back before computers were in people's homes! I had to read (and write) hard copies, on actual paper! And I didn't see my first poarny movie until only a year before I was married. If I wanted to see something dirty, I had to steal my dad's copies of Heavy Metal or read the paperbacks he confiscated from his students.
At least if you're wearing one of those you won't be forced into one of those post-fire interviews on the local evening news station.
Good night Cantina. Multiquoting ahoy!
Wasn't Skippy Australia's most successful TV export? It was first made when I was about two. I reviewed some Skippy DVDs once.
And I saw a couple of very good Aussie miniseries in the last few year, namely The Slap and Cloudstreet.

The same, unfortunately, can't be said for Crocodile Dundee, because every yank who sets foot here brings it up![]()
I find it amusing that your dad confiscated them? Were they in high school or something?
Yeah, I remember the same sort of fuss when I was about fourteen, when Judy Blume came out with a YA book that had a hint of the blushable about it. VERY tame by modern standards, but then.....Reminds me of the sex scene in the... fifth? Tommorow when the war began book. The first one between Ellie and Lee. Several of us had been reading the series in grade six (would have been 12/13), and someone reached the sex scene. Got passed around to every kid in the classroom, including those who had no idea what the rest of the series was about.

Still got to wait 40 minutes before I can eat it *stares hungrily at pot*
Well this is a weird morning. Woke up to a buff, shirtless man standing outside my bedroom window... too bad it was only a window-cleaner...
Also apparently my parents have taken to standing in the living room watching the people who empty the wheelie bins out. They were just standing there in silence, totally spellbound by watching this happen.
Plenty of room in my boat, but I'll warn you it's leaking like a sonuva. It's starting to look distinctly like the sellers are going to completely screw up the close on the house, with just about 36 hours to go. There are no words to express how pissed off I am right now.

Not a personal one. There's a local service that every now and again just goes round the local area cleaning windows for people. It's pretty sweet, I just wish they didn't hire attractive men and let them go shirtless. It's not good for me to have half-naked men outside my windows...You have a window cleaner? Awesome.
There's something very hynotic about watching thirty funky bananas moving back and forth.
i'm going to carry on with my plan totake over the worldwrite something.
Ponders what Kricket did read it as.

Go back to sleep. If anyone complains, tell them you have a note from me.
Lots of them. Hope it gets better soon, and I hope someone around here can be more useful
