So quiet in here. Anyone read Team Human? Bought it the other day and loved it. Very funny deconstruction of the paranormal romance genre. And SRB is coming out with a gothic next year that's almost a parody of Touch Not the Cat, if anyone's read that (it is an odd book).
I just got a good idea for a plot twist for my play I'm talking about. It turns out that after the M.E. examines the bodies, she testifies that one of the girls is pregnant, and after further questioning, reveals the unborn child is a product of incest from her younger brother.
My question lies, in the fact that, I've NEVER heard of incest being used in such a plot twisting way. Would you think it's too taboo, or too lax, and I should come up with something better?

I don't know. It seems like something that would happen in a soap opera. Honestly, I think you could come up with a better plot twist, but if it works for your play, keep it.
Are you considering this for the shock factor or because you genuinely think it would be a good plot twist? I think you need an actual plot with stakes, rising action, a climax, and a resolution.
HR, to answer your plot question, I do have a somewhat idea of the actual plot. However, I thought, when I planned it out, that there wasn't much of a twist, besides the past scenes, and one or two other things. There would be subtle hints in the past scenes, in order to make sure this isn't too far out of left field.

What do you suggest, ely?
Hmm. I don't know. I'm not sure what your play is about to know what kind of plot twist will work. If you can't think of any other ones, keep the one about the baby belonging to the younger brother until or if you think of something better.
