Conference season is here! Who's going?

Fabulous! My pic's on my website too. I'll certainly come by and introduce myself on Weds at Literary Autographing. 
I've just been to the UK Romantic Novelists' Association conference - my first one. With just a couple of hundred people there, it's miniscule in comparison to the giant American conferences. But it was fun and useful and at least with a smaller group there's a chance to talk to people I'd never even see at a large conference.
Maybe one day I'll get to go to one of the American ones. I can dream!

I'm a long time lurker here, first time poster. I'm going to Anaheim and I'm sooo frightened I've talked myself into not going at least four times this past week (and then talked myself back into going lol). Someone tell me it's going to be fun and not scary and not like my freshman year homecoming, which I spent hiding behind a tree?

Take a deeepppp breath. First and foremost...you are going to a convention FILLED with women who love romance and are unapologetic book nerds. Seriously, that has to be one of the least scary groups to be around. Oh, and these romance loving booknerds are also there to let their hair loose, party, and meet new people. The booze will be flowing, the laughter will be plentiful, and at the end you are going to feel SO GOOD about yourself that you had the courage to go and I can 100% guarantee you that there will be someone even more shy than you there.
