I'm going to post up sales updates every Sunday night to make things a little more regular and whatnot.

Definitely slower than last month, but I have a short story (Kiss the Night, a prequel to Waiting for Darkness) that I'll be releasing in two weeks, so I'm hoping that'll boost my sales numbers up.

I'm uberly excited about this. Not a lot of people got to read this when I had it published with a small epubber about 5-6 years ago.

I had to change the image...essentially, flip it to the right because my book covers tend to lean towards the left.

So sales are slower than they were a few weeks ago, but I've got a freebie offer going on right now with Arjun. Arjun has an excerpt of Invincible in the back, so I'm hoping that will pique curiosity with some readers and help boost sales. Arjun's timing is a little as it's set during the holiday season, so...*shrugs*

Kiss the night, a prequel to Waiting for Darkness, is in its last stages of the 1st draft and I'm hoping to have it out on Amazon by the 22nd or so, and BITE, which is the sequel to Waiting for Darkness is scheduled for a late June release.

I'm having so much fun.

I'm preparing for the WfD sequel for an early June release. I'm almost finished with the first draft and once I give it a few passes, I'll hand it over to my editor and hopefully, it'll boost my sales for June.

A slower month than April, but I attribute that to the lack of promoting and new stories out. I hope to get the sequel to Waiting for Darkness out by the middle of this month, and get that boost in my sales again.

As a whole, my writing life has been kind of in the toilet these past two weeks or so. My laptop went kaput and I've been working on hubby's laptop but I hate the feeling of the keyboard so most of the time, I'm just writing things long-hand. Also, we're moving to China in the next couple of months and that's been a pretty stressful experience. I'm pretty well-traveled for someone of my age, but now that we've got a vicious, feral cat as a companion, I'm just worried about her and having to bear the quarantine period in Beijing which is supposed to be something like a month, ick.

However, things are looking up. My new (okay, new to me) netbook just came in the mail today so I hope to be doing some actual typing and hubby will get a better idea of where in Beijing we're going to be and when exactly we're supposed to be there.

I'll be a much happier person once we're in China. Too bad that's going to be another 2.5 months, double ick.

I haven't posted in a long time...sorry! Actually, the last week of August, my husband and I moved from Chicago to Hangzhou, China and since then I've been kind of...scatter-brained. Didn't get much writing done or publicity and my sales were pretty terrible from about July to now, I guess, in comparison to my April and May numbers for 2013.

Buuutt...I just released a new book today, the sequel to Waiting for Darkness. It's in review status right now, and I'm hoping to have it available for sale tomorrow since that will coincide perfectly with my 5 day freebie period for Waiting for Darkness. Will the freebie sell the sequel? I can only hope so!

So I got the sequel to Waiting for Darkness, BITE, out and I'm averaging about a sale a day at this point. Considering I haven't had any new releases since May and my books have fallen way, way out of visibility, I'm doing okay. I have a few more releases within the next few months, so I'm hoping sales pick up soon.

Finished designing my cover for an old re-release that never really got enough exposure with an ebook publisher I am no longer affiliated with. Still, the last quarter I sold over 100 copies of BLOOD WISH for $5.99 (which was more than a little surprising) so I'm hoping to have it back up with some revamped editing and a new cover with a new title (KISS THE SHADOWS) for 3.99 and see if it sells a little better.

Also, working on a contemporary semi-erotic romance called THE SHINJUKU AFFAIR, as well as the sequel to BITE and KISS THE SHADOWS.

This month is going to be busy, busy!

Well, I'm definitely doing better than last month, so there's that. I didn't realize momentum was so important until these past weeks when a new release obviously bumps your sales. Not publishing even a short story for 6 months definitely hurt me, so I've promised myself that I'm going to try to get something out every other month.

I'm going through KISS OF SHADOWS which was originally released by Evernight Publishing as BLOOD WISH and I CANNOT believe the errors and typos that litter the supposedly "edited" product. *headsdesk* I mean, we went through 3 passes as well as two different proof readers, but how did these errors still pass? So I'm editing again and every chapter, going at about 5k, is taking at least an hour each. I wanted to get this product back into the crowd ASAP, but not when I have to edit this much...
