I found myself enjoying the Order of the Pheonix a lot more than I remember.
My favorite thing about re-reading the series has been seeing all the subtle tensions that are ripping at the wizarding community. It makes sense that Harry - at 11 - would not see all the problems...but by 16, it's clear that the wizards...
Well...even the "nice" ones are kind of huge assholes. Elf rights, goblin rebellions, nearly exterminating giants, and it's heavily implied that centaurs are put on reservations (which has never ever EVER been pleasent for anyone involved).
I mean, Voldermort is the bigger evil, but I feel like Harry, Hermonie, Ron and everyone else have a bigger, longer, less dramatic slog to change the wizarding world.
Or they're going to reap what they've sown. Probably in the form of another Voldermort.
What made him, afterall, but hatred and ignorance in an intelligent mind?
