Post Format Q - location and time headings

New here. Hello!

Question.

How do you format a location and or a time heading? Is it right justified above the text? Is it centered? Bolded? Capitalized? Spelled out? Capped and bolded? Capped, bolded, centered and spelled out?

For example:

Kentucky, 1972

Maine, 3:00 AM

Pennsylvania, 1776

THE GREASY SPOON, THREE HOURS LATER

Thanks in advance.

However way you want.

There's no hard and fast rule. Personally I do it the same way I do my chapter headings - centre jusified and with a capital letter at the start, for instance:

Chapter 11

Belfast 1989

There was the smell of urine in the air as the August sun warmed the Lagan River until the odour took on a life of it's own and follwed people around like a cloud from a Charlie Brown cartoon.

All three work. As long as you're consistent and clear, it won't matter. The publisher will make the final design call when it's printed anyway.
