Might I recommend buying a massage chair? People will let you down, but the rollers will always love you. They don't judge you. They don't make fun of you. They give love. And you can sit on them nekkid.

I HAVE a massage chair. :)

Like I said, I prefer the human form. :)

Well, if we exclude those material possessions with which I have sinful relationships...I'd have to say either my laptop or my digital camera (Nikon D70s...I <3 that camera). They both go with me almost everywhere. Definitely a toss-up between the two.

Oh, I'm with you there, but at $75 a pop (and it being illegal to actually own a masseuse) I spend more time in the massage chair or having the kids walking on my back. The chair also doesn't find it amusing to jump on and off my back.

If there's nothing I can't live without, why do I have all this extraneous stuff anyway?

There's stuff I value, but I'm not unhealthily attached to it. Probably if the house were on fire, and all things living were out of harm's way, I might think about grabbing some of the kids' pictures, or my laptop on the way out the door. But the laptop's replaceable; I'm not really all that attached to it. Just would rather not have to bother downloading all the files again. My ice skates stay in the car, so they'd already be out of the house. ;)

Three things come to mind, excluding the living beings in my life, the Nikon D50 (the D70 was too heavy for me), the new laptop and - the strangest of all - the washer.

It's a Whirlpool Duet, front loader. It will wash 16 pairs of jeans or, in our household, a whole hamper of white towels in a single load and uses less than 15 gallons of water, instead of 45. It was expensive but solved lots of the physical barriers I had to being able to help with the laundry. We've had it 3 years and never had a single problem with it.

I have to confess that it is the only appliance that I've ever liked so much (it's almost love). Although the smooth top, convection stove is pretty nice too.

I have many things that are pretty cool from my world travels.

But the coolest thing I have is a lifering from the original M/V Coral Refer, the fishing factory ship which Jimmy Buffett named his band after. Most folks don't even know where the name came from, but I do.

I have a piece of artwork from one of my favorite comic book artists Takeshi Miyazawa. It's a really cool picture of Cloak and Dagger (two obsecure Marvel super-heroes), and there's a great story behind it as well (a long story, but basically it's the best evidence I have for karma existing).

Heh, now I feel rather nerdy.

Jane, stop this crazy thing!

I'm hanging on for a couple of years, until I can get one of these.

Even if it doesn't fold up into a briefcase.

Yay! Another teddy lover! :)

I have my teddy bear with me right now. Her name is Crystal and I made her at Build-a-Bear. She frickin rocks.

I call her Chris, though, which is my boyfriend's name....so there have been some semi-awkward situations, when someone overhears me talking about how "Chris fell off the bed last night..."

I loved Cloak and Dagger too, so don't feel too alone.

Too right! Swing by Texas and pick me up so we can go cruising!
