A publisher or agency using Google ads to solicit your novel probably isn't anyone you want to write for.

QuerIE!!!

In the penultimate paragraph of my query letter to an agent that i think would be great for my book i wrote querie instead of query, and whilst i think the letter would spark interest in my novel, can a faux pas like this alienate a prospective agent

So happy to have gotten to this stage of the writing process that i just re-read it once and completely missed the spell-check indication of my misspelling before i sent it out...are agents that demanding on query letters...i.e., can one error sink my chances

In short, yes.

Honestly, a minore detail won't matter, but since query is an obvious mistake, be sure to correct it for future letters sent to agents.

Whenever possible, let someone else read over your stuff before submission. It really helps.

Good luck!
