1700 words yesterday, cuz all I asked for on Mother's Day was to be left in peace to write for awhile. Well, that and boy hugs. It was a good day.

Still making progress on the outline. Wish I could've gotten it done before NaNo instead of after, but this is still good... (My mom's comment: "You're not going to do that November writing thing again, are you?" Umm, yes, actually. Just hopefully with more prep this time!)

Melenka, what a cool Mother's Day! My mom got a lawn mower...she was very excited!

Not a good weekend for me in more ways than one, though I did spend a lot of time reading. Hopefully I'll get back into writing this week.

I'm finally writing again. We went away and I deliberately left the computer behind. So when inspiration hit I was left with a notebook and some pens. TheIT, I was thinking of you!!! I don't know how you do it...

Got tons of plotting and actual writing done on the new idea. Woo-hoo!

Pen & paper ... join us. Come to the dark side - we have ink! Mwahahaha!!!!

:D

Whenever I'm brainstorming ideas, I automatically reach for paper rather than the computer. I find it much easier to think in random directions when I'm scribbling notes down rather than typing. Something about typing makes me want to make the words look pretty, plus I can't draw arrows which drives me nuts.

Got about halfway through my SF/F Challenge piece on Friday, but the story was making me depressed so I set it aside for the weekend. I think I'll try to finish it tomorrow at writers' group.

I have a nice graph of my fantasy novel's wordcount from the day I started it to the day I finished the first draft. Is that the sort of thing people would be interested in seeing?

Despite four screaming children destroying my house last night I managed to just about meet the goal. Hey, when the muse speaks who cares about ketchup on the carpet?!

Wrote a page last night at writers' group, then I had a great brainstorming session with some of the people from the group. Not sure what's going to fall out of the discussion, but I've got some ideas to play with now.

800 words on Wednesday, but I'm going to take most of them back because it was truly craptastic. I might not even wait for the rewrite to fix that part.

Wrote a little bit more on my challenge piece, plus I'm letting some ideas percolate about my novel revision. My novel is mutating again. Disconcerting when it does that, but it usually ends up in a better form afterwards. I hope. :D

A thousand words today. Woo-hoo!

Melenka, "craptastic?!" Surely not that bad!

You're all doing so well!

I haven't written in ages, but finally managed to BIC yesterday. Rewrote a chapter after feedback from my writing group, tightened up parts of it and added new stuff where needed. Much better now. :)

"The chapter that no longer sucks." I so love that. And I'm happy for you Melenka!

I'm still plugging along, still excited, and still chock-full of fun ways to torture my characters.

Lily, how many disasters is this story going to have?!

TheIT, that's some powerful writing there!

Finished my 2nd most important chapter last night after planing forever. Feels great. :) It was about 1700 words last night which was plenty more than what I normally would write for a days worth.

Tried to write on WIP yesterday, but didn't manage to do anything. Wrote some poetry instead.

While figuring out various things for my nonfiction work, I've been toying in my head with a novel that is based on an idea I've had for a couple of months. I finally wrote the first 1,800 words today and an additional 1,600 of outlining/plot planning/background info for me to refer to about the characters.

Great start, Triomferus! Good luck on the rest.

Transcribed another scene in my revision, plus finished reading another book. Feels good to be reading again.

Thanks jude! Yeah normally I try to write 500 words when I sit down to write. I kinda just kept writing until i was finished - happened to finish around 4 in the morning lol but all good.
