Congrats on climbing the long path, Dr. Lisa. Just take a minute, though. Your vista is just the starting point for more fantastic things. You have a key, you know the secret handshake. Those "answers" just ask a whole new series of questions, all of them exciting. Revel in it. Get after it. And welcome to the academy.

I'm going to whisper my congratulations. Defending a thesis is hard work, and I'm sure since you defended it successfully you tied a bit of one on last night. So, in deference to your delicate state today...

*Congratulations, Lisa. You've worked hard for it. You deserve it. And now, there is no longer any need to defend anything about it, or yourself. You have achieved your goal, an incredible goal for anyone, and I am very, very, VERY proud of you.*

Sssssssh.....

:)

I had something for this...
Congratulations!

Can you listen to my cough? It's been getting worse. I have a pain in my back also. It started about 3 weeks ago. Well, I noticed it 3 weeks ago but I think it started last year around the 4th of July. That was when I was having trouble hearing and I got dizzy spells since my throat was so irritated from the infection...

Am I the only one who got images of her in armor swinging a sword around to defend her thesis?

Yeah, I figured as much.

Congratulations, Doc. Make sure you save that first piece of mail addressed to "Dr. Lisa Medievalist." Sure, it'll probably be a plea for money from your school's alumni program, but still.

And to think she did it all handicapped with a Macintosh. Amazing!

Congratulations, Lisa!

I hope this means Mac will be able to rope Lisa back into modhood. Her barbs and cutting wit keen insight is greatly missed in Da Room. :)

Congrats, Lisa. I can imagine the sense of accomplishment you must feel, and I hope you cherish those feelings for a long time to come.
