Magazine Threads

I've found the Strange Horizons thread to be really helpful in keeping track of submissions and comparing notes with other submitters (Sp?). What do people think of starting threads for the big sci-fi fantasy mags? One for Asimovs, one for FSF, one for SH, etc. Each market is slightly different and we can give each other tips on the slush gods, editors, contests, etc. There are too many markets to do it with all of them - I'm only suggesting the top five (whatever those are). Just a thought...

I don't understand. Are you feeling put-out because nobody responded to your post within five minutes of you posting it?

Anyway, I think Polenth has it good. I know Duotrope keeps vague track of how long people take to get back to you. Outside of that, it's just getting to know people and getting told things, I suppose.
