My name is Jay Solomon, and as a newbie to Absolute Write, I just wanted to introduce myself before delving into other forums and areas. I like to touch my toe to the water and then shove myself into the pool, so here I go.
I'm currently writing a non-fiction book - it's my first and it's almost done, which is a huge relief since I've been writing it for a while. It's about South Park (the tv show) and religion, and called The Zen of South Park. I'll spare you the details here and let you know that its website is www.thezenofsouthpark.com.
Joining this group was at the behest of my writer-friend, Chandler, who keeps me informed about the writers' community that exists but that I've been totally ignorant of until now. Fortunately, I'm starting to see how great it is that there's this huge group of other writers out there working hard, sharing their experiences and advice and trying to help out their fellow writers. It's pretty great and I'm glad to finally be exposed.
So, that all said, if you have any good newbie advice I'd love to hear it. Thanks for listening!
