Report it if you must. Just don't wake up the guy in the hat.

and you know if you write a whole bunch of violent haikus that our friend Spinal Tapestry is going to come in here, don't you? It's like he has a sixth (or sickish) sense (stench?) about haiku.

Violent? I don't have a violent bone in my body, hardly, pretty much. And you think I should be worried about some piece of tapestry with a backbone? Ha. Nobody has challenged me to haiku since I've been here. I declare myself champion of haiku!

So there.

A dark, evil place.
It was once a lovely fetus,
all milky white and glow,
at first it filled her starry womb
with hot and itchy grow,
but then it came to pass
that the little babe did cry,
became a rock of deadly things
to knot and twist in birth's canal.
If only she could fart it out
the bloody bastid could finally die.

How precious. A poem about Rolling Thunder. :)

that I could choose a word to strike you
and you would not feel it
is to tremble in the cool current of "lack"
and "enough".
to step on moss-greened cobbles
with some bravado at my skill is
assuredly a sign that I will slip -
fumble to the bank,
slink back to the edge
in wet, humiliating inches -
My measurement
of regret.

eta: this doesn't mean anything in particular. I just wanted to write a poem using the phrase, Measurement of regret. It's been stuck in my head all day.

Yea, I did cheat. I just wanted a white space to throw those three words out of my head. They've been evicted now. Back to your regularly scheduled elegy.

Hey, now. Who called the Mutual Love Society to order?

I rited a perfectly good metaphor, in a perfectly good haiku and all I get is ignored by you angsty types.

Well, I'm going back to Hollywood, I'll tell ya. At least I get room service there. Billed to the poetry forum.
