Hi, folks. Name's Marko, and I'm new here.

I'm a stay-at-home Daddy and freelance writer based in New Hampshire. Having acquired the ability to get work done with two small kids around (try wringing prose out of your brain with Thomas the Tank Engine playing on TV, and a three-year-old competing for your attention with a one-year-old), I've written two novels in the last two years which are currently in Submission Hell. I'm in the middle of Novel #3 right now, and I also write bread-and-butter non-fiction articles for various markets to help support my family's grocery habit.

Oh, and I'm greatly looking forward to the Viable Paradise workshop I'll be attending this year.

Nice digs you have here...mind if I stay for a bit? I'll toss some cash into the hat for beer and pretzels.

Welcome Marko. You'll find this place a bit of a madhouse as well but it's well worth the effort.

Welcome to AW.

Don't mention money for alcohol here . . . these folks will have no qualms about ordering a bottle of 1936 wine and putting it on your tab. Writers, you know.

(Just kidding ;-)

Muhahahaha! YOU think it's going to come to an end someday, am I right? The kiddie videos, the diapers, the endless high-pitched screams...
Pssst. Come a little closer...lemme just clue you in - IT DOESN'T END!

Oh sure, they get older, stronger, and sexier. They roll their eyes at you, text their friends about you and break curfew. Yes, yes, they finally grow up and there are pics of you and them standing together after a high school ceremony (you with tears in your eyes - and you are thinking right now that you know why you have tears - it's not what you think). They DO grow up, but guess what nobody tells you? Guess what the snickering is all about, my friend? They leave and then...

They bring home MORE! Yes, little baby "thems"...

...Oh man, I'm sorry...hey did I say "Welcome"?

They get a bit better in the 30's. You've only got 27 years of trouble before you can relax. Welcome and enjoy AW.

Hiya Marko! Sure, beer money's good, but what about chocolate? Ya gotta have your priorities straight to do this writing business. I see you're already hooked on that grocery thing. Next thing you know, you'll be wanting Toilet Paper every day. First time's free. . .

Welcome! Glad to have ya! (There's TP in the mod's lounge.)

Anybody who chips in for beer and pretzels is okay with me. Congratulations on your books--and your kids.
