From an Australian writer marooned in the USA.
By "linkage" I ended up at this forum looking for something else, liked the layout, and registered.
Originally from the land of golden sand beach's, deep blue waters and yachts, my employment as the Narrative Director with a computer game company brought me across the Pacific. The company produced a second tier game with 500,000 units sold worldwide. We were contracted with a large studio to make a second and third title with the possibility of a film.
It all came down to $$$, and with the economy tanking in the last year or so, the studio finally closed it's doors...leaving a buddy and I short changed. The good news out if however, is I now have the IP of my work returned.
These days I write for myself, the most recent success being first place in a writers competition for a recent release of "Chicken Soup for the Soul."
Having married a local girl, we're based out of SoCal with no yacht, green seaweed water and gritty beaches.
