The most dangerous ever chocolate cake

This is too good not to share.

Susie - this one's for you

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if
using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high)...
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?

Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
You are going to print this out straight away, aren't you?

Mwa ha ha.

You could put this in a nuke-proof bowl too, no pouring at the end. Lovely!
BTW a similar thread exists in here...

Just bumping because I ran across this recipe on CakeWrecks and thought resident chefs might want to know about it. I'm seeing reports that if you use too much egg, the resultant cake isn't particularly tasty or edible, so be careful.

Vegan Chocolate Mug Cake

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

-2 T flour of choice (Gluten-free)

-1 T protein powder (chocolate or Vanilla)

-1 T raw cacao powder (1/2 T of cooked cacao powder, since the flavor is stronger)

-1/4 t baking soda

-pinch of sea salt

-1 flax egg (1 T milled flax seed mixed with 3 T water)

-2 T almond milk (or milk of choice)

-1 T chocolate chips

-1/2 T oil, yogurt or applesauce (optional: will make the cake more moist)

-1/2 t vanilla extract

-cinnamon and Stevia, to taste

Method

1. Spray the inside of a microwave-safe coffee mug with nonstick spray
2. Add the dry ingredients (flour, protein, cacao, baking soda and salt), and stir well to combine
3. Add the wet ingredients and mix with a spoon until mixture resembles a thin cake batter –make sure there are no flour chunks in there
4. Taste the mixture and add Stevia and cinnamon to your liking – I used about 6 drops of liquid Stevia and a hefty shake of cinnamon. Stir in chocolate chips.
5. Microwave on high for 2 1/2 – 3 minutes, until the cake is cooked on top and around the edges.
6. Using a spoon, loosen the edges and plop onto a plate. Drizzle with chocolate syrup (Ahlaska! is fabulous) or almond butter, if you’d like.
7. Prepare to enjoy

[Recipe taken from http://fitnessista.com/2010/08/i-had-to-do-it/]

That is how I found out about this cake, on a Vegan site. Hope this helps, and do let me know whether you give it a try.

Whacky Chocolate Cake

Since this seems to be the cake thread, this recipe was given to me by a dear lady. It seems awfully thin before you place it in the oven but it works. Simple and easy if I could get it to work. Hope you enjoy.

Whacky Chocolate Cake

3 cups flour (unsifted)
2 cups sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp salt (optional)
2 tsp baking soda

¾ cup corn or canola oil
2 tbsp cider vinegar or white (do not use wine vinegar)
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups cold water

into a 13/9 baking pan or pyrex glass, sift dry goods together.
Then add vinegar, vanilla to oil, pour over dry mixture in pan
Gradually pour in the water, mix it until it’s smooth. (whisk it or use a fork) (wipe edge of pan to clean before sticking in the oven)

Oven at 350 for 50 minutes

Let cool in pan and then add frosting

I can't help but tweak recipes. It's a thing for me. It's also less of a dorm friendly way the way I made it but was delicious. Thanks BTW for especially including the wattage so I was able to calibrate the changes without wasting food.

I used walnut oil (both for flavor and for omega fatty acids)
Milk, I changed to 2 T milk and 1 T sour cream.
In addition to the choc chips I added an equal amount of shredded coconut.
Also added 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.

Mix all dry in one bowl.
Emulsify all the wet in another,
Blend just to combine and microwave in a pyrex 2 cup measuring cup.

It was a good german chocolate cake, in a microwave, Thanks again.

Hi Sweetloaf - delicious username

I just made this, and it's yummy! But now I have to clean up my kitchen because I tried being clever with the electric whisk in the cup (without holding it. Doh.) and batter went EVERYWHERE! Just lucky I had the computer perched on the other counter.

I will, however, make this again tomorrow night, but I will have a grip of death on the cup.
