Céline sings with 16 year-old Charice

I know I mentioned Charice in the diary thread but this deserves a threat of its own because it is spectacular. Below is a clip from last night's show in Madison Square Garden where Célien and Charice sing Because You Loved Me together. I was crying through all of this because I cannot BELIEVE how absolutely amazing Céline is in this clip. I really feel like we are watching the very new, very fresh and very special beginning of somehtign new. The birth of a new star. In ten eyars, we will look back at this and go 2that's when it all started". I really feel like Céline is now very much a mentor to Charice and I was so touched by everything in this clip. When the crowd gets up on its feet towards the end...amazing. Amazing, amazing, amazing. I am so, so proud of Céline for just being who she is and I'm so emotional watching this.

Me tooo, I was crying my eyes out. So touching, I hope they will record a duet sooner or later!

Duet? Hell No! I agree with Céline- the girl needs David and a few others to create some new songs for her.

She'd easily fill MSG day 1.

It's a lot of pressure for the girl, but with the backing of the celebs that know her already, it should make that part much better.

I was at the concert with my wife. Charice has an amazing voice and in my opinion she outsang Celine during that duet. What a talent and only 16.
Overall the concert was amazing!

Céline didn't sing much of that duet at all, just giving Charice the room to shine haha I loved it...Céline was totally impressed.

well yeah, considering Céline barely sang at all! *lol* I think letting Charice have ehr moment was a very humble thing to do, not to mention the "right" one.

Love them together!

I just had to comment on this thread. Sorry to bump one so old.

My husband is a U-Tub fanatic and he looks for anyone from the Philippines doing anything. He's been downloading this Charice person for months starting the middle of last year, I think. He was very impressed with her.

Yes, I've seen her several times. Just hope the success doesn't mess her up. She has a long career ahead of her.

There are several people like her that I would love to see a 60 minute special hosted by Celine. Duets and such. Give those people a nice wide platform to perform on.

You should check out David Foster's Hit Man DVD. I knew he has a lot of history with music, but it's amazing just how many songs / groups / people he has been involved with. Nice sound recording too.
