OK, ignore my last post--Hinny you beat me to the punch :)

Good Morning Soapy! It's good to see you! I was wondering where you've been! :hi:

Saturday's my day to sleep in. But seeing as I actually don't sleep past 7 ever I just laid in bed today until 10, trying to organize all of the voices in my head enough at least to get them to stop fighting with each other.

It's a mess usually, Cannibals scraping with my Werewolf, Ghosts messing with my supernatural group of teens, My vampires messing the crazy birds and the humming sociopath lady that walks around the isle of my mind trying to decide which one of the other characters to kill first. :D

Thankfully, they are all in their appropriate places this morning. And hopefully they will stay there, until I'm ready to use them. :)

Thanks again EF for helping me get those crazy critters organized!

Hope you have a great day Soap! Talk to you soon!

Hinny :D

Cleanup on Aisle 3!

:)

It's about noon and I'm on my second cup of coffee. I got home from work last night at about 11. I wrote about 400 words on the new WIP, but went to bed early. 3:00 a.m.

Trying to wake up now. I have to work tonight, too, and I really should be burning some new cds for my shows, but I'd rather try and coax the muse out into the sunlight and see if she wants to play.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Well, folks, I made it through (and I maintained rather well, I think - no shots, home by midnight after just a few beers).

Working on "The Midnight Box" and sending out "The Light of an Oncoming Train" to Weird Tales and Talebones depending on whether or not they're reading.

Okay, so my son got me sick. I'm all dizzy and stuff, had to come home from work.

And when I tried to go into the excersise part of AW to participate, all I wanted to do was write bad things, about cutting they're hands off and drive by shootings. I'm going to roll with this sickness thing and see where it takes me, bc I might just be onto something :D

I just got home from work and I'm tired. Not sure if I will do any writing tonight or not. But, I managed to write 800 words in my new WIP before work, so that's something, at least! My new WIP gave itself a new name earlier today, too. Funny when that happens. Secret October didn't name itself until I was halfway through the first draft/version. Then it just popped out. The new WIP wants to be called The Devil's Ink, so that's what it's called.

I'm not playing the game right; i know that. Heh. And to boot, i'm a day early. But in the last 3 weeks, i've gotten a little over 300wds on one wip and quite a bit on another--dunno how much because i was writing on notebook, not 'puter, and i've not had the chance to transcribe that stuff into my word doc yet.

So not disappeared--i've been lurking here, reading y'all's interesting comments. I just feel embarrassed to always report nada. :)

Okay checking in for the night.

I wrote the monthly prompt and I finished the Crows short, roughly about 3700 words this week, not quite 4k like I wanted but It's something (it might get a little bigger after this evening also.) AND I've started researching magazines for the subbing process. So...yep that's about it.

I have a little more editing to do on a couple of my stories, I think I may lengthen my wolfie story and that is all I have planned so far. I would like to see what I get done tonight before I place my actual goals for the week :)

Have a great night! Happy Writing. :D

Nice work Kmcelhinny. Glad to see you got such a nice word count done.

I did a little bit of writing over the weekend, but spent a lot of my free time dealing with obnoxious trolls on my blog and an argument with someone who disagreed with one of my blog posts and blogged about it. She seems to be backed up by a troll who I once banned.

It making it hard to blog with a level head at the moment so I'm just not blogging this morning. But don't want trolls and those commenting just to incite me, to win, and me to not blog.

bsolah, invite the trolls over here for a BBQ. I hear trolls are gamey but respond well to a garlic/red wine marinade. :D

Rewrite zinging along. At least 300 words this weekend. For your nightmarish pleasure, these are my two favorite lines from the current chapters, both completely out of context:

Her imagination, in the middle of the night, infested the holes with maggots. Sometimes the maggots laughed.

Nights were just longer copies of the moments after they’d left her hanging and screaming and puking blood on the rats.

Sweet dreams, Horror Hounds. My Net connection is wonky tonight, so I shall leave you for now.

Thanks! :)

Don't let them get to you B! (although if they do I think I still have some troll traps in my attic if you want me to check for you. :D)

Remember they are your thoughts and just bc some 'troll' disagrees with you, doesn't mean you should lower to their level. Your right! Don't let them win, keep on blogging. :)

Great Job Lily! Maggots eh? Don't they like trolls?
:)

I managed almost 900 words in the new WIP before I had to leave for work. Then we went out to dinner. Now we're home and I'm going to starting writing again. My MC is about to get a tattoo. The poor guy has no idea that this tattoo is a little more than just ink on skin. I almost feel bad for him. Almost.

Laurie hmmm... do you think that you could watch a show or a movie? Dexter always helped me. He was sick and twisted with just enough kind of funny. Do you have anything that you love to watch that can coax her out of hiding enough to sit back and allow her creative juices flowing?

If that doesn't work do you think that she wants to have some fun? The exercise, and prompts part of the AW forum is always good for jarring your muse.

And if that doesn't work you could always try just writing whatever is on your mind just to see what comes out, you might be surprised at what does AND at least your writing.

(Nothing bad about yourself though. Negative thoughts only lead you further down into the pit)

Good Luck Drgin!

Good job Dgrin! Have fun with your tattoo.

I've done some searching, and I think I found my muse. She's floating downstream, facedown. We've now had just about 16 days of clouds, gloom, and rain. The sun has come out for short bits a couple of times, but the gloom has reclaimed the skies every day before sunset. Blah de blah de blah.

Laurie - I second Hinny's suggestions. Just starting jotting down words. Try rhyming ones. Then, toss in adjectives. Anything to jump start the engine.

Or, what helps me get things going is reading.

This is my favorite line from what I've written over the weekend:
His gait wasn’t uneven, just odd. Like his hips rolled forward first and his legs followed along for the ride. Strange.

And dare I admit I tried this, to make sure it would result in what I had in my mind? ;)
