I sent him a query on May 9th and received a rejection today. I wasn't expecting one because I got the auto - response that said he only replies when interested when I originally sent the query.

I queried on 5/9 and then got a full request for my YA on 5/30. Now back to the waiting game!!!

Just to let you know time stats: I e-queried him the beginning of April (YA/fantasy) and he requested a hard-copy full. I got it to him a week later. Still waiting but some of my other friends that had fulls with him mid April are now beginning to hear back.

FWIW, I did a fair sized search and didn't come up with anything negative. A relative who's published, recommended him. (...just as soon as the final draft is complete...)

I met Mark at the 2008 NYC SCBWI writers intensive workshop. He's not a warm and fuzzy person, but he definitely know his stuff.

I queried on 10/31 (Halloween) and got a full request today (Christmas Eve). They requested a soft copy, and said to follow up if I haven't heard anything in four weeks.

I queried 5/29/09 and just got a request for a full today (12/28/09) from Linda. I was looking on their site, is she a new agent with him? There is no mention of her on their site.

I had a full request for my YA UF on June 3....I never heard back, and since I got an offer on a separate project, I didn't notify him. I'm pretty sure it's a no!!

He may very well still be considering it. Sadly, seven months isn't that long for a full (my agent had my book longer than that!). You might consider dropping him a line, anyway?

I queried back in September actually and received a request for the full around Christmas. Problem was, the full had changed drastically (from picture book to chapter book) so I sent them the updated copy. Now the wait begins - anyone hear back on a full recently?

Yes, request was from Linda and unfortunately, I got the big R today. It was kind though, he basically said that the premise was fun and kid friendly, but he didn't think he was the right person to sell it. Too bad, he sounds like a great agent. Good luck to all of you!

New Here- anymore about the McVeigh Agency?

Hi all- I'm a Newbie here... have been reading you guys for few years, now gettin' involved. (It's 2010 dangit! Time to get going...) Mark McVeigh just asked for my work after my query of a few months ago. Does anyone know if he has sales? He doesnt show anything on his site and doesnt appear he has much fiction under his belt. Is he one of the better one's (reputation of successful sales), or one of the others, (still getting started, limited sales, not likley to have the major publishing relationships, you gget it)...? Thanks!!! -Sam

PS- Why does the site show my uploaded picture "failed" each time I try? I seems to sucessfully take it then I get the message and no piccy..
