At least you'll get a useful degree. Eye on the prize!

And we'll still let you read and discuss ;)

So, where I can get the book? Fantasy books are nigh impossible to find here if they haven't made the movie yet :p

I don't even like what I am studying...

Oh, snap.

But the Camelot movie looks pretty kewl.

And Max, did you check all the usual places for the book? Cuz other than suggesting Amazon.com and a ton on shipping, I dunno how to advise you :)

So, are we decided yet? I did buy the One and Future King already.. since I figured I'd read it regardless.

I feel terrible for you MaxMordon - to have limitations on books and buying stuff like this.

Yep, we've been decided :D Just read Once and Future King (ideally by the 1st or 2nd or so of June, but later is just fine. I've yet to even get a copy of Beggars for this month but there's time yet) and the thread will be up as soon as some one reminds me in June (okay, I'm not that bad, but I have my moments, heh)

I'm so glad people are offering to send books to Max :) Nobody should have limited access to good spec fic, says I!

Also, I'm trying to plow through The Once and Future King as fast as I can, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish by June 1st :( I've never been a fast reader, it's a longer book, and the language is sooooo good I want to linger over it! I could drop all my other obligations, but that means not meeting my WIP monthly goals. AND, to top it off, my muse was all, "Hey, Etola, here's another idea for a new short story! Work on it RIGHT NOW." And I was all, "Gah, why do you ALWAYS show up when my schedule starts getting tight?" 8(

Help! What should I do, when I want to do all of it?

Don't worry Etola, it's the journey, not the destination. You'll just have to resist clicking on the Future King thread until you are all done :D

On a related note, I had to get out of bed again to write down a scene idea. Yay muse. But I need to put pen and paper by my bed again methinks.

Thanks, Bahamut. I think I needed to hear that. :Hug2: I'm excited about this whole book club thing because I've been out of college for 5 years and I'm starting to miss good, deep conversations about literature. (Not only that, but as I've mentioned before, I'm on an Arthur kick and TOaFK was on my reading queue!) So I shouldn't turn it into a source of unnecessary stress, when it shouldn't be that.

I think I might also need to put pen and paper near the bed. I have another WIP that is on the back-burner right now (in theory), but last night was the third night in the past two weeks that I had a great idea for revising it while falling asleep or waking up.

I'm awaiting the arrival of my book. UPS says tomorrow. It seems holiday weekends are not their forte because they usually beat their own estimated arrival dates.

Thank goodness I can read fast, lol. Late is better than never.

I'm still waiting for my library copy. Since Beggars was supposed to be in the neighboring library but came all the way from Florida, I'm not holding my breath, lol.

And I don't think anyone responded to my Beggars rant, er, discussion points :)

So I *finally* got my ILL copy, that I requested nearly a month ago.

A month.

Guess where my University library finally aquired it from.

The local public library.

Yeah, 2 miles down the road.

><

So, hopefully there are some other stragglers for OaFK. Well, I know of one. But hopefully the discussion can roll into July. I see it's had a lot of posts lately. Now I just have to set aside time to read. :)
