I heard rumors about a Harper Connelly show/movie... that would be swell to pass the time between True Blood seasons. I've read all the books, so I know all the big revelations, but still, the show keeps me at the edge of my seat. Good stuff.

Although, I hope it isn't just an Eric and Sookie sex fest. They are equally unattractive to me, although in a pinch I'd probably go for Eric, only because of the amount of sexy photos of him I have been subjected to while reading this thread.

Actually, I'm downloading it from a torrent, so the speed was fluctuating, due to many, many leechers and not enough seeders.
I have now though now but haven't watched it yet, as had to go cook tea. A rather delicious warm chicken & bacon salad, I might add.
I shall report my opinions on this episode, approximately 58 minutes from now.

Ok, just watched episode 11. I've never read the books, so...
Wow, what a huge disappointment. What was with the Queen? She was nothing like I was hoping, she just seemed like some spoilt little kid in a candy shop, having to play Yatze 'cause she wasn't allowed outside or something. I was hoping the Queen would be like Godric, only more sinister and eviller. (that a word?)
Eric flies? That was awesome. Eric is my favourite character, not because he is mega sexy, but because he is mega cool.
The Jason and Andy thing that was going this episode, was just a bit boring and too "comedic" for my taste. In fact the whole episode seemed kind of silly.
The part when that crazy lady was cutting her finger off, that was cool.
The whole thing Mary-Ann: I was never really much into it and after finding out that she is just some dillusional human, who "imagined" her way to being powerful, didn't sit well with me. I'd rather she really was some crazy immortal thing, hmm I know she is but well, gah I can't explain it.
Interesting to see what will happen with Hoit and Jessica, was a shame nothing else was seen of them, apart from them boring bits with his mum. But I guess that is all leading upto something.
Anyways, I still loved it 'cause it was True Blood but one of the poorest episodes so far, I thought.

I don't see how they can kill off Eric, he's a mainstay character through all of her books. I would suspect it would be Layfette, but I would be shocked if they did in Eric, as he's too important to the entire series.
.... and 2) because Eric is hot. Also, 3) because Eric is so hot.

hahahahaha....he is damn hot and I am besotted. I was from when I first read the books, but watching his character is sooooo much better!
Only thing, I wanted his hair to be long, like way down his back long, as it would be if he were a Vikking <reaching for towel to wipe off the drool> and he's described that way in he books. Nothing like grabbing a hand full of blonde hair when.......<wink>

You're not being catty.....every single time she opens her mouth to speak, all I can say is "why the hell don't you fix your teeth?" it drives my daughter insane...lol
She's a great actress, but that gap is SO DAMN DISTRACTING! It has often ruined a moment for me....thank God there are reruns and it's also on Demand....lol

Yeah, the whole episode seemed more like a filler piece to me. I was more 'eh' than 'omg!' like I had been with some previous episodes...I thought there woulda been more to the Queen (esp with that title). I did think it was interesting that the one girl's Sookie's cousin (and even more interesting that she noted she's Sookie's cousin, not Sookie and Jason). I wonder if she'll turn up again...
Especially the last scene of Jessica screaming when Hoyt stormed out with his mother...I loved their relationship thus far. It shows a more innocent side to the whole vampire/human relationships...
I appreciate that they (producers/the actress/whoever) are trying to go with authentic/didn't try to make the actress fix or cover her teeth. It's a nice change of pace, imo. And her acting's (as is the entire cast) amazing
Agreed. Plus, Eric's the source of a lot of angst for Bill and Sookie (as a new suitor or just by being...well...Eric, haha). Now, what's a show without (some good lookin') angst? (And, Rowan, I'm totally adding my 'thanks' for the Eric pics - whoo! *fans self*)
Even Lafayette - I think a whole lotta people would be annoyed if producers made him kick the bucket. I think he's developed quite a fan following (he truly is an awesome character and it's been great seeing his development). I don't know, honestly, I'd be sad to see any of the big characters be taken out (shoot, I was sad about Mary Anne's sidekick/butler) :/
