So, I was watching Constantine again the other day (super awesome movie) and there is this scene at the end.
***spoiler Alert***
Fast forward to when Lucifer and Constantine share their last bit of dialogue. Constantine convinces Lucifer to let the twin sister go. After which Lucifer grabs Constantine by the hand and starts dragging him to hell.
God intervenes and reclaims Constantine's body from Lucifer. Now, Constantine is floating in a bath of light towards the pearly gates..
And in the climax of this scene, the pivotal moment when Lucifer is all like "No, No, No!!!" Constantine reaches back and gives Lucifer the finger
That part almost kills me everytime. Not just because it is funny. But because it is soooo in keeping with Constantine's character.
Not to be outdown Lucifer grabs him and pulls him back to Earth...
Anyways, that got me thinking about character and character consistency.
For me, its these little things that make a character 'real'. Those little quirks that speak volumes about personality and well... character.
As writers, I think we can learn from these things.
So I ask the question. Any scenes in particular that strike you as memorable due to the 'little things' a character does?
Similarly, what little quirks, actions, traits, etc. instantly endeared you to a particular character? And of course, provide the scene and movie
