I think it really depends on the writer. One of the great things about writing is that you can do it at any age. Frank McCourt didn't publish his first book until he was in his 60s, and he won a Pulitzer Prize.

I've quoted your post because, judging by your post history, you're probably going to go back and edit it to say "5F" or something after you get a few responses. Which you shouldn't do.

What would you like us to say?

"Wow that's wonderful! I aspire to be just like you!"
"That's fantastic! How on earth did you manage that?!"
"3 books in 2 years?! You're amazing!"

I know I probably sound horrible now, but I have to point out that being a newbie, having weird posting practices and then posting something like this seems very, very strange.

I agree with you pepper. I think this poster is someone who just liked to screw around. I don't get the point of them being here.

Tell us your name, nomolos...and the titles of the books you have published. and the publisher name.

Freelancer is well-respected
I believe it's depending on the quality in general. If it's 5 quality book, that's an excellent achievement. If it's 5 quantity book, that's not good at all. I know writers whose published 20 books in a row and none of them reached even a mediocre level as they wasn't quality works at all. If you're the writer you can answer this question. Quality or quantity?

maestrowork. You have a point.

I agree with this, but also wanted to ask, what's "5F"?

Ohh. OK. Thanks for clearing that up. I kinda got that the poster was a little wonky from the op itself, but that definitely pushes it into, 'you're just bored & wanting to mess with folks'dom.

Just a guess, but I'd wager "nomolos" name is Solomon.

Ding! We have a winner! I can't tell you how many slush pile manuscripts I get when the villian's name is the writer's name backward. I would have done that at 16 too, but "Anilec" sounded too cheesy.

As for the OP--why limit yourself? With the advent of self-publishing technology, you can get as many books published as you can afford.

I think Anilec is a wonderful name...be it a villain or a village urchin who turns out to be a child of super-duper emperor of some off-world. Pow!

It is a great name for a poison, though!

Yar sounds quite nice as my evil twin (who washed my wallet yesterday)...

Just 'cause OP deleted some posts in another unrelated thread and left random letters behind, doesn't mean it's "let's make a fool of the newbie" open season.
