When do you put up your Christmas decorations? When is 'too' early? Have you seen a place that already has their decorations up? What do you think we should do to these nutters? :D

As close to Christmas as I can get away with without being called a Scrooge, I'm happy putting them up about the 22nd/23rd and getting them down on New Years day (hangover permitting).

The other half wants them up on the 1st December. I have a friend who wants to put hers up now and in uni, a flatmate of mine decorated his room on November 1st and started playing the Celine Dion christmas album non-stop till the end of January. He was a nutter. We no longer talk.

:D

It's scary, but we really don't 'get' TV.

We netflix movies, watch a bit of news and weather, maybe some kids programming. If I had to pick out of that group, it would be Arthur. He's a bright kid, and I love how he and his school buddies interact.

Yeah, I know, I need to grow up. I'm Peter Pan.

We spend most of our time playing Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, or (God forbid) Webkinz.

I spend most of my spare time writing. I have a lifetime of writing to catch up on.

Hi all! Newbie here, although I've been lurking for awhile now, bwah ha ha...

Figured I would finally dive in with the question of the day! I have a lot of sympathy for Randman's pick, although I think Wash from Firefly would actually be my favorite. No, wait, Zoe. No no, definitely Jayne. ARGH! Too hard.

So instead I pick Ben from Lost. By turns creepy, pathetic, scary, funny, dorky, and even charming. One of the best TV performances by an actor (Michael Emerson) I can think of.

Good pick. Definitely a contiual unknown of which side he is on or not. Where are his values, the island, family, supposed friends, himself. We still do not know.

Malcolm Reynolds played by Nathan Fillion who now plays lead in "Castle" I think that the ship captain Malcolm Reynolds was a complex and interesting character who would swing emotionally as needed. Fair and just, combined with firm and sensitive. I feel this character and actor make a mark in history and were ended before their time.

I second this one!

...though I also loved James Marsters as Spike in the Buffy TV show. Prior to being de-fanged, that is. He was much cooler when he wasn't neutered.

For those in the UK and who watch 'The Bill' (a television cop show that has been running forever), a long time favourite, Tony Stamp, is leaving the show tonight after 25 years on the show. Which kinda leads to today's QOTD:

New Question of the Day:

What is your favourite television show character?

Right now, I kind of love Richard Castle, the main character on "Castle".

I just laugh out loud at all of the writer humor. :)

There are tons of great shows that come and go....Overall Best? Hard to say.

But an overall GREAT actor on a current GREAT show would be Alec Baldwin on 30 Rock. His delivery on his well-written lines make me sigh, shake my head and clap with appreciation.

I do lean toward Jim and Pam from The O, but I'm going to have to say (even though I don't have TV, whenever I can I watch...) Jon Stewart from the Daily Show. It counts, right?

Today's question is about alarm clocks.

Is the snooze button your friend or an evil device to stop you from getting up right away?

The older I get the more I wake up early by myself and the annoying part is I don't have anywhere to go. :)

Just look at my screen name and you can probably guess my answer--the snooze button is my best friend in the morning! I need to press it several times before I can claw my way out of sleep.
