How did 2009 shape up for you?

Me:

Worst: Drama, drama, drama!!! Worst year of my life, except for maybe 2006.

Best: I found a home and a family here at AW.
As crappy as this year may have seemed, you people always found a way of lightening the load, raising my spirits and making me feel like I have a place where I can be myself. Thank you.

Now, it's your turn. :D

ETA: Happy New Year!!!!

best?: decided to quit my job of 6 years and go elsewhere, typed up a 2 page manifesto of criticism of why the owner of the company was driving the company into the ground, blah blah blah

worst: 6 weeks after quitting my job of six years, the new company I went to shut down, and I was about 60 days from being friggin homeless. . .

worst/best turnaround: went BACK to the company I was at previously. . .and the owner re-hired me, BUT ONLY after pulling out my 2 page manifesto and making me sit there while we went over it, line. by. excruciating. line. (can you say, hotseat?)

LOL

Worst: living the ENTIRE year working only 4 days a week. I know, I know, Thank God, I at least have a job. If not for cashing out my 401K, I would be homeless.

Best: AW and all you crazy people, finishing two novels! The NaNo experience, which has taught me discipline and shown me I CAN write a novel in TWO months.

Somewhere in the middle: getting a kitty :) She's the balance between angel and demon. Most times, the demon wins! :)

BEST: Sold a book to Wild Rose, finished up two projects that are going out shortly after the first, have two more ready to be attacked, and a few ideas still rattling around in my head.

WORST: Jersey Guy's been unemployed since pretty much Thanksgiving '08. He's a union guy, so he has to wait to get a call from his hiring hall. It's been rough on us, probably the roughest point in our 15 year history - but we're getting through it (thanks to the ability to laugh, and people here who've let me vent and hugged in return) and I figure, there's only so far down it can go before things start looking up. Hmm... maybe it's a best wrapped inside a worst as well.

OMG - I'm going.... positive!!!!!!!

Worst: Where should I start? *Sigh* I guess my nose cancer surgery would be on the top of my worst list.

Best: Being here with you guys and making my virtual life terrific. Many thanks and of course Mr. Susie!

Hope your 2010 is all you want it to be. A very happy, healthy 'n safe New Year's! :Cake:  :partyguy: :snoopy: :Cake:! :D

Best: Holding a book with my name on the cover. People actually liking it. Getting nommed for an EPIC.

Worst - Getting diagnosed as Officially Loopy, er Bipolar. Ongoing battle with arsehole Psytrickerist. Spending six months completely off my head on drugs that made me a) worse and b) unable to think, speak or write coherently

Worst: Lost a good friend a few months back.

Best: Finding this place, which has helped me finish my story and editing and everything, helped me with a query letter, and basically has given me at least a fighting chance. :) Thanks guys. Otherwise, probably my brother coming to visit. That was an absolute blast, and I miss him a lot and wish he could come visit again.

Worst: can't think of anything that bad. Call me Pollyanna. My migraines are getting steadily worse, but at least I'm still alive and healthy most of the time.

Best: Getting a full request from the first publisher I subbed to.

Worst: I didn't win the Texas lottery or the Mega Millions

Best: I won the lottery in Abbadabbuzbekistanpan. I'm just waiting for them to get back to me after I gave them my driver's license, SSN, banking information, and $10,000. I'm so excited!

another worst: In August - losing my kitty, Millie, she had heart disease, and it was the most heartbreaking thing ever to have to let her go. she was with me for 9 years, and she was like a child to me, I still cannot talk about her or think about her without choking up and crying. Okay, so I'm a wimp, she was my little baby-girl

best: my ex-wife finding me two kitty-brothers, just a few weeks old to adopt. They are Roscoe and Dylan and they are so much fun, even if they are a couple of little household terrorists, they are tearing up everything in sight. But they are fun, and in good health, and they make it fun to come home everyday.
