Why doesn't somebody simply take him outside and shoot him?

Sheesh, people. If watching an old man bothers you that much, change the channel.

This.

I'm pretty sure the other channels had a New Year's Eve show with pretty young people to watch.

I stopped watching these stupid shows years ago when they stopped showing them live and started showing them an hour later for our time zone.

I don't care if the ball drops at 11pm my time. At least it was LIVE.

from an interview with him on usatoday.com:

The rest of the interview is under the link.

It's good to hear that he feels fine. So it's a superficial problem, as far as TV goes -- no pity needed :) Granted, TV is a place for speaking clearly, but it does inspire people to see him there and feeling fine, because he's Dick Clark. That's cool, I think.

I loved seeing interviews with Katherine Hepburn, too (I forget what ailment she had, actually). Man, she was awesome.

It's mean to say, but I always thought Ryan Seacrest looks very odd. I'm surprised he did so well, lol.

I only watch from 11:55 or so - I was watching Twilight Zone all night... but ever since I was a kid, it was Dick Clark on New Year's Eve.

And now I'm curious what got Kathy Griffin in trouble... I am a bit out of touch, I guess...

I was curious too so I just googled it. Apparently she dropped the F-bomb.

I don't think it's the F-bomb that was so offensive about Kathy Griffin's comment...it was the fact that it was an extremely lame joke. :Wha:
