I still don't think she's a good Sookie. And her accent is like nails on a chalkboard.

Eric on the otherhand.... ;-)

ERIC is the man! :)

Not having read the books, I can only comment on the episodes of the show. Given that, I really have zero problems with any of the casting. Methinks Sookie is a believable, likable person who is young and stubborn but kind and judgmental. Anna Paquin (who has done a very good job with every role I've ever seen her in) does a fine job of portraying her in the series.

Erik is an interesting character. So is Bill. I must admit my favorite characters are Jessica and her human boyfriend--and I understand the former is entirely original to the series.

Hello, David!
Yeah, they did a great job w/the casting even though they strayed from the books (Tara being one obvious). I think Jason is perfectly cast, along with Bill/Eric/Pam/Lafayette and Sookie---as was Sookie's Grandmother.

Can we change the title to "True Blood: The Eric Northman show"? ;)

Just kidding...... sort of. :LilLove:
Hm, not my cup of tea...I think he's kind of a sissy-girl (*runs for cover).

I prefer the guy who plays the brother. He's dirty.

Jason? Oh, you can have him all to yourself. ;) Eric is more of a badass in the books. But sissy-girl? You didn't see the episode where he ripped the guy limb from limb while getting his hair foiled? Now that takes a manly man...to pull off. :D

We've only had Series One in the UK. But 'getting his hair foiled' - I'm sorry, but even if he were breaking in a wild stallion, he does it with foiled hair, he a sissy-girl.

That guy in your Sig was in Wuthering Heights, right?

At least you won't be fighting me for Eric. ;)

Listen, lady, my Tom could have your Eric in a fight, any day!:D

Back on subj, I can't stand the modern take on vampires, usually, and serial-killers give me the yawn big-time, so I was ignoring it until I read a great review of it and decided to give it a go. To my utter surprise, I loved it. It was one of the few must-sees of last year and I am having a hard time waiting for Series 2.

I love Lafayette best. If I were a male actor, that's the part I'd want. Never read the books and I don't feel inclined to.

Did you get the Kindle for 259? If you paid the 299... simply email Amazon and they will refund you the 40... they did for me... I love them!

I just finished the 5 Lily Bard books.... last 5 days... eek... my bank account needs a break, and so do my eyes!

Wh-what? How far back could your purchase be before they stop honoring that, I wonder. I've had mine for over a year now, got the Kindle 2 right after it came out.

Now season 2 is on UK TV, I've seen that episode...OK, so he's not a sissy-girl.

Sookie is a mega ho in the books. She sleeps with everything and what she does not sleep with, she dreams of sleeping with. lol

I watched this earlier today, it's great. I love Eric and Pam's dynamic and think she's just hilarious. I hope we see more of her this season.

Thank you for making my day. And my fiancé's day (when I show it to him).
