Well, announcing the wrong winner of a Presidential election, as THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE did on November 3, 1948, is nothing to be proud of, but at least today's journalists don't make mistakes and today's journalists--despite all their fancy equipment--are just as prone to error as (if not even more so than) their predecessors.
