My last thought before everything went black was to reflect on what an odd coincidence it was that despite how alien the Andromedans were, a panel of red, blinking lights on their ship still meant "You're all about to die."

I should have realized immediately that something was wrong when I woke up in the body of my pet cat.
Apple's new iFad was an amazing piece of technology and had exactly the same functions as a normal PC, but with a smaller screen and at ten times the price.

I woke up to a little blue alien whispering obscenities into my ear as it stroked my bare chest.
The initial arrival of the Teloxian invasion fleet went almost entirely unnoticed, due to the fact that their advance scouts had landed in the middle of the San Diego Comic Con.
It was my 3rd session with Tara Gagnon--known as the "the gnomes made me do it" girl--when I noticed a tiny red hat between the back of the couch she lay upon and the far side of her head.
In hindsight, the interplanetary war was inevitable from the moment the Plutonian leaders learned our scientists had revoked their status as a planet.
Men are not from Mars, women are not from Venus, and therein lies the explanation for two dwindling cultures.
In a realm menaced by dragons and demons, by ghastly hounds from the bowels of the ground, by snow-bound trolls, demonic warriors, and hordes of undead, by witches and warlocks, and satanic heretics exiled from their kingdom, by ravenous barbarians who live to plunder, and even by some kings, there was peace to be found in some places.
The world leaders would probably have taken the invasion more seriously from the start if the elite Juhalian strike forces hadn't looked so much like tiny, angry Smurfs.

To win a bet, Maynard Klume and I traveled back in time and patented the first time machine two years before the original was designed.
After the fourth time someone jumped back to pre-emptively patent the time machine before the inventor, it became clear someone needed to regulate time travel.
